Houston, we (may) have a problem

Good afternoon all,

Me thinks I have a problem with my HD cooler, I planned to use it for a MLT but while cleaning it up and removing the spigot I discovered that it may not be possible to install a bulkhead/valve.

In the photo (top) you can see that it looks like the sucker was drilled off center, leaving very little room at the bottom (pay no mind to the crud, I stopped at this point):

Compared to FlyGuy's photo (bottom) and many other's I've seen, the opening is centered in the indention.

Am I missing something here or is this cooler a no-go?

you can still use it but you may have to file or grind off a washer or two so they will fit into the narrow space of the indent and the hole.
