Started brewing beer ~2005, but rather inconsistently. Just started on wine this year. So far, love it.
Was talking with my brother the other day (beer brewer), and he mentioned this site. I don't even know what his user name here is, but I'm sure we'll cross paths sooner or later.
Currently have 5 gal chianti and 1 gal strawberry wine going.
Just experienced my first explosion a couple of weeks ago. Out of pure laziness, I opted to just lightly screw on the lid to a new strawberry wine, rather than scrub and sanitize a bung + airlock. My sorry excuse was that I was running late for work. I knew it was not a good idea. Came home to a kitchen full of strawberry guts and broken glass. But the good part: my place smelled like a brewery for about a day and a half.
