So I was transferring from my primary bucket to secondary using a hose and spigot. As I tilted the bucket the hose came off due to the weird angle it was being pushed against the opening of the carboy. Tried to fish it out but there was just no way it was going to happen. Decided to slap the air lock on and go back to watching football.
I know not everyone uses a secondary, but I usually do. Anything that came into contact with the brew had been properly sanitized. As for what the tubing was made of, not too sure, its clear and I bought it from from a brew shop.
Wondering if or something similar has happened to anyone before?
I am assuming if I drain the carboy in a few weeks and the hose is still intact that it should be safe to drink. Thoughts?
