Can anyone tell me how long pre packaged pellet hops will last from the LHBS? If kept in the fridge. Was thinking about stocking up a little on hops. Thanks again!!!
 
If their sealed in a nitrogen pack and kept refrigerated they'll keep for 6 months or so before they start losing alpha acid %. if their in plastic packs they'll stay prime until summer.
 
Freezing them would be better. They'll last a while. I just ordered hops for the first time in a year and so far have been happy with what I've had on hand. Have only had to adjust my additions slightly.
 
store in the freezer if possible, that will extend the usefulness for years. You may take off a little acid content but as long as they smell good.

Just make sure they are sealed good.
 
Thanks guys, don't know if they are nitrogen packed or not I'll have to ask my LHBS. I've had some in the fridge for a couple of weeks now, think I'll move them to the freezer though. Thanks again guys!!!
