Hello,

I brewed a IPA today and I used hops pellets, which made a thick hops paste in the bottom (with the help of Irish moss). I use a bazooka filter (strainer) in the bottom of my kettle. Some of this hops paste has passed though and went into my carboy. I've read on this forum that it is not a problem, but I am wondering if I should use a secondary fermentation in this case since there is hops at the bottom of my carboy? Is there a risk of off-flavor if I leave hops in the primary for around 3 weeks before bottling?

Thank you for your help!
Cheer!

If anything you may get a bit more hop flavor (you are sorta dry hoping). I (personally) generally recommend not using a secondary. I would say don't worry about it.

Okay thanks! The fermentation is very active since this morning it's like a tornado in there! heheh
