To use or not to use, that is the question. I just finished bottling my first brew over the weekend and I noticed significant loss due to trub on the bottom of my carboy. Just wondering anyone who's had experience using both methods pitching hops with a bag or just directly into your wort if it yielded less trub or most trub came from yeast? Thanks in advance!!

If you look carefully at the bottom of your carboy you might see two different colors. Hops are green and will come out a greenish grey in the fermenter. Yeast will be a creamy or yellowish white. I suspect that you will have trouble seeing the hops component of the trub because it should be pretty small unless you used a ton of hops.
