Hops and Hopes: Female Brewers Toast Women's Day

Popping up on news sites all over. Wish we'd heard of it before today! But it's too cold to brew here tomorrow anyway.

Anyone here ever hear of this event before? Any events in your area? Maybe I just missed it last year....family issues and all that.

Assume you mean why the special fuss?

After seeing a comment on the "who's going to Brewcon 2018" thread in reddit, where the writer was a young man interested in going, but afraid it was all greybeards, I think the same could be said for women who might be interested but are put off by the lack of fellow females in the trade/hobby.

I worked in a male-dominated profession, and so being the only female in the room barely impinges on my awareness. But not all women feel comfortable in those circumstances. So I like the idea of encouraging a group to check out the obsession we all seem to share here.
