Is anyone celebrating today/tonight?

I dont' have a participating pub in my city, but I do happen to have a pub at my house, so I'll certainly be celebrating!

There's an AHA rally in MI today, but its about an hour away from me. Anybody ever been to one, would it be worth the drive for me?

A party with people who don't drink. WTF do you do then?

Not much. I know the host and hostess, and like them (even though both are way crunchier than I am, they're cool peeps). Their other friends, though, are not exactly the most stimulating people to be around. Doens't help that I don't know them all that well. There's another couple that'll be there that I like who have a son (who they'll bring) just about Cassie's age, so the unfortunate answer is that I'll probably spend most of the night sitting on the floor, watching the kids plays, while desperately jonesing for an IPA and a cheeseburger...

Oi, it's all my wife's friends (I'm a dork, but she's a geek), but most of these people she doesn't even know that well... so the evenings there are generally best described as "awkward".

If you must go, take a cooler of Home Brew or some Apfelwein and wear this shirt.

It should make for some lively conversation and act as an ice breaker with the new friends. :D

My wife actually brought them some of the apfelwein to one of her get-togethers with them a few weeks back.

Mostly, they didn't like it. :(

So honestly, I'm not about to waste homebrew on them... :D

Wow, did we take advantage of that last night. Had a little impromptu get together with some friends....whoa, I was TRASHED.

Broke into the white russians at the end of the night. :D Man that was fun.

How did your party go, bird?
