Is anyone celebrating today/tonight?
I dont' have a participating pub in my city, but I do happen to have a pub at my house, so I'll certainly be celebrating!
Dude said:A party with people who don't drink. WTF do you do then?
the_bird said:Not much. I know the host and hostess, and like them (even though both are way crunchier than I am, they're cool peeps). Their other friends, though, are not exactly the most stimulating people to be around. Doens't help that I don't know them all that well. There's another couple that'll be there that I like who have a son (who they'll bring) just about Cassie's age, so the unfortunate answer is that I'll probably spend most of the night sitting on the floor, watching the kids plays, while desperately jonesing for an IPA and a cheeseburger...
Oi, it's all my wife's friends (I'm a dork, but she's a geek), but most of these people she doesn't even know that well... so the evenings there are generally best described as "awkward".
Dude said:LOL...if that were me, I'd have to suddenly "get sick".
Uh..have fun bro.![]()
Sounds like the perfect way to celebrate the repeal of prohibition.the_bird said:Going to a party.
With a bunch of people who don't drink.
Nor eat meat.
Yea...![]()

EdWort said:If you must go, take a cooler of Home Brew or some Apfelwein and wear this shirt.
It should make for some lively conversation and act as an ice breaker with the new friends.
