36621772-6ABF-4332-A601-37D6C1AFEFE3.pngLooking for suggestions on a finishing hop for this Belgian Blonde. I’m leaning towards the styrian Golding but wondering if Saaz or something else might pair better with the rye? Cheers!

That's not a lot of hops, so I don't know why it will matter. I mean, you should use several ounces of hops to maybe get some flavours / aromas from it?

I think Styrian Goldings will work better. Take that with a grain of salt, as I am not a fan of Saaz, although it works in Lager style beers. Styrian Golding is really a nice hop for anything lager, british style beers, etc.

I know some of the Kent brewers are big fans of pairing rye with (true) Goldings, and most of the Wye hops would probably work as well as being fairly true to what's grown in Belgium.

I’ve never used it but Mandarina Bavaria seems intriguing as a late hop addition in this recipe. Thoughts?

Personally, I would sub out the Magnum for Apollo. It is a softer hop that still delivers the alpha. Styrian goldings should work perfectly in this recipe.
