I am looking into a recipe that calls for this hop schedule:
1.5oz Goldings (4.1%AA) 60-min.
0.25 Goldings (4.1%AA)10-min.

If my goldings are 5.0%....I should back it down to this schedule:
approx 1.25oz 60min
.25oz at 10min (I think difference is negligible)

Am I correct in my calculations? Will this make that big of a difference?
This is an Irish Red Ale recipe if that matters.
Thanks!

Your calculations are correct. You are also correct that the 10min addition is negligible, also measuring anything less then 0.25 oz is difficult with most scales.

Yea - you could do that but honestly - I would not bother unless you are into saving .25 hops. My thinking is that OK - the recipe says this but this is such a minor "problem" it might turn out better.

Unless you are trying to recreate a recipe yo have already done once to perfection.
