I was lucky enough to come upon 2 massive wild hop plants (18-22 feet tall). I harvested them but am afraid they are too gone into our season. I researched a ton of websites that listed when they ready to harvest, etc. Mine are all about 1/2 brown and 1/2 green. I laid them on a screen in my shed to dry and after 1 day they are dry and crumbly to the point the leaves are nearly falling off them. Do they sound ok or too far gone. No lose either way but would love to use them...

A picture would help, but I wouldn't necessarily go on looks alone. Grab a handful, rub them between your hands and give the result a sniff. If they smell good they're still viable (though the crumbly state might make using them a pita). If they smell bad, they're history...
