So I brewed up 10 gallons of a strong Pale ale with plenty of hop flavor and aroma. It was put in kegs and I drank most of it in a period of a month before deciding to bottle some and donate. I cleaned my flip top bottles with PBW and rinsed well. I then sanitized the bottles with the normal mix of iodophor and water, and let drip for an hour upside down before bottling. Within 24 to 48 hours after bottling, most if not all of the hop aroma and flavor were gone. The bitterness however was still present. I've never had this happen and I'm thinking it was the iodophor. Any ideas?
