I'm 3 brews in and I found that using the hop bags are a god sent.
1st brew: IPA with 2 oz of dry hops, used the hop bag... bottling day came and I didn't have any issues when it came to siphoning the beer.
2nd brew: IPA with about 2 oz dry hops, didn't use the hop bag... holy moly there was crap everywhere and siphoning was a chore... I was sucking up bits of hops like a Dyson vacuum. All in all I really care knowing most the stuff would not end up in my bottles.
3rd brew: IPA with about 4 oz dry hops and I used the hop bag... I didn't bottle yet but I know I'll be happy on Monday when I do.
I know some folks say that using the hop bag will prevent the hops from mixing well but my first batch came out awesome with a really good nose.
