I was making a 1 gallon batch of APA. Not too heavy on the hops. I might have not recalled the recipe correctly... I used 7 grams Cascade in the 90 min boil and 6 grams for the last 10 min. I need to adjust the pre boil levels. Anyway there is a hell of a a trub
in the jug....I am just starting ferment.
Did I over do the hops??? This is a 1 gallon batch. THe first batch last year was fantastic. But this doesnt look like that batch..

Not enough hops in my book.

That works out to 1.25 ozs bittering for 5 gallons (which seems a little low), and 1 oz at 10 mins for a 5 gallon batch. I would not expect much hop presence in the final beer.

In all seriousness, I don't think the trub will hurt. You might end up with a slightly smaller yield, but nothing horrible.

I did a rough recipe in Brewer Friend and the hop load is actually a bit high for an APA...
