some honey you get in a store is barely even honey at all - and i would hesitate to use it in anything, especially beer.

Raw honey from the bee growers is the best to use, store bought honey is watered down..

What are you looking for the honey to add? Wild honey or sometimes called sourwood honey adds light floral flavors where as clover and orange blossom honey just adds alcohol and lightens the overall flavor of the beer. I have used both several times for all of the above reasons with good results. Don't forget give a little more time fermentation when adding a lb or more to your wort.
