Ok, so it's more of a late extract addition question...
I'm planning on a honey weizen in the very near future (for a summer brew). I have an extract kit and was planning on late extract addition.
ingredients:
6 lbs Wheat LME (65% wheat, 35% barley)
2 lbs honey
1 oz styrian goldings (bittering)
1 oz styrian goldings (aroma)
IBUs: 19.5
Also: 1tsp Irish moss
My question is, will adding the extract late increase the IBUs too much for this beer? I'd like a clear, light, not too bitter summer brew that's maybe more accepted by my cat-piss drinking buddies (busch/bud light anyone?).
Also, should I add the honey all right away or delay most of that also?
