I started my Mead journey just a few short months ago after visiting a Meadery here in Dallas and talking to one of the owners about the process of not just making Mead, but the creating the recipes. The "subtle science and exact art"* of Mead and winemaking has been a welcome distraction after 20 years as software dev.
I am not much a drinker, and will probably give most away as gifts to friends and family. But I have really enjoyed the process and I am hoping to learn a great deal more.
*I'm a 54 yo guy with 2 kids who can quote Harry Potter. Will Mead fix this?
