Whats up buddies!

I was in a competition , the first national mexican homebrew competition with bjcp judges (with rex, jhon from new holland and jared from goose island) so it was a cool competition!

The beer we sent , we tried to match it in some category hehehehe (when we knew it was going to be a competition it was to late, we had already drunk our best beer for us hehehe so we sent another hehehe) we didnt win a medal but we are very happy with the results because it wasnt a beer made to compete and we got a 34.5 score or a "very good" beer acording to the report.

So we are happy and we want to compete once again, we asked some judges if we can send our beers to some competition in the US they said its possible but we have to send the beers firts to a relative and they will have to send the beer to the addres competition (i cant wait another year to participate here in the second homebrew competition hehehe):D

Do you know some regional, local or national homebrew competition where a foreign beer can compete?

Have a good day!

http://www.bjcp.org/apps/comp_schedule/competition_schedule.php

This lists all* currently registered AHA/BJCP sanctioned competitions in the world. Nearly all are in the US, of course. The AHA maintains the same list but I find the BJCP format easier to read.

Not all competitions are equal in terms of judging quality. I'm not familiar with all regions of the country but in general the MCAB qualifying competitions (search masters championship of amateur brewing and look at the list of qualifying comps on their website) are good.

*Some choose not to be listed, usually club only or local only type stuff you wouldn't be interested in anyway.

Thank you remilard! good info you gave me, also i found this link on the net http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/pages/competitions/national-homebrew-competition and by readin the rules and regulations i saw this:
3. What are the entry fees?
For U.S. and international entries (except Canada), AHA members pay US$9 per entry; nonmembers pay US$14 per entry.

So it seems posible but i will have to contact them to be sure. But if somebody knows about another competition i will really appreciate it :D

I got a reply from the great arizona hb competiton they told me they normally send invitations to some clubs in Canada and Mexico he will contact me in the near future (i will contact him first hehe once again) so also i will ask my club to get an invitation, but if you know guys from another hb competition let me know please adios-good bye!

You are certainly welcome to enter our competition in Kansas City. It is the third weekend in February and should be on the BJCP/AHA lists fairly soon. We are medium-large (425 entries last year), very well judged, and ship prizes (including overseas).

Dixie Cup is a big competition in Texas. I like Upper Mississippi Mashout in Minneapolis-St. Paul in January. The QUAFF comp in San Diego in February is very good. I really like Drunk Monk Challenge in Chicago in March. Hoppy Halloween in Fargo in October is great.

Very nice remilard! im sad there are no enough competitons in my country but im going to try to participate in the US of course! Thank you once again :D
