Im in next round. Careful shipping right now. Last 2 boxes of beer i got in the mail had a couple leak from freezing. Only single digits in My part of Oregon
Luckily my package will be going west coast so I shouldn't have to worry about freezing!!
Anyone send anything out yet? Can't wait to see the pictures of people tearing into the treasures!!
I'm gonna hold off until next week due to the cold weather. Just got blasted with a nice snow storm last night. Next week the temps will be back up into the 30's. I feel more comfortable shipping it then.
What's the consensus on sending out a mead that could use more time to age, I can't decide which bottles to send
I thinking sending stuff out that needs to age is fine. Just make sure they know!. Might be neat to get a mead that needs a few months. Helps to force spreading out the consumption of the spoils!
I am definitely in for next round, disappointed I missed this one.

Yea I plan on including a note sheet with when each brew was made and bottled at the least. Probably extra info too.
all I can say is that my recipient is about to get blown away. Unfortunately I'm too early in my mead making to send some out, but there's plenty to make up for it.
It's still below 20F during the day here, Michigan, and 8 or less at night. I'm getting concerned about sending and receiving frozen beer. Never sent beer in mail before, what do you guys think I should do? Next Thursday it will warm during day but not at night. Next Monday though should be upper 20s even at night.

Yes, Sorry... This swap is well underway. Stay tuned for round 2 if this turns out successful.![]()
Thanks. Those labels only go on beers traveling outside my house. And they come right off with no glue residue.
I used to do the caps too, but I actually have custom printed caps for most of the stuff too, you just can't see it in the photo.
