Well it took 2 years in cold storage but a holiday ale I brewed 2 years ago is finally where I wanted it. Just cracked a bottle and it is fantastic. Long story short I brewed an English brown ale with cinnamon and nutmeg a couple years ago and although the beer was always drinkable it never met my expectations. I always held out hope that it would get better. Last year I opened up one of the bottles and the cinnamon was still a bit overpowering so I decided to hell with it I'll go another year. Now it is smooth malty and right where I wanted it to be. First homebrew I've age for an extended period and I'm not disappointed with the results.

Ha. I usually don't either but I always held out hope for this one. It wasn't going to be an everyday drinker anyways so aging it wasn't terribly painful :)
