Hey all, nice site you've got here.
About six years after brewing my first batch (a forgettable brown ale) and completely forgetting about the hobby (despite being a big beer nerd), I got a NB kit around Christmas and I just brewed my 5th batch in a month yesterday.
So far, I've done an amber saison, an oatmeal milk stout with cacao nibs and Vietnamese coffee, a gose with lemongrass and Thai basil, a 1gal single-hop (Cascade) IPA that came out awful, and (yesterday) a sour stout with Roeselare and dregs from five commercial sours (already bubbling along!). I've only tasted the saison (great!) and IPA (gross!), but I'm feeling pretty great about the gose; jury's out on the Vietnamese coffee milk stout, but bottling day for both of them is this coming weekend.
I'm still doing extract and partial mash (just a stove and 5gal kettle for now), but at least starting to come up with my own recipes. I've also managed to acquire four more carboys and 11(!) corny kegs (some old coot offered 'em to me for $100 total), so I guess a kegerator might be in my future?
Anyway, nice to meet you all and looking forward to diving so deep into homebrewing that it completely obscures everything else happening in the world for the next four years!
