Has anyone opened a Cherry Raz Kiwi yet?

Exceeds expectations, had with some VT cheeses last night and really enjoyed it.

Gin Clara - glad to finally try this. Huge gin character that really worked well with the base beer - I loved this. On the contrary, Gin Soigne, consumed later in the tasting, was far less complex.

I definitely didn’t taste them side by side but I thought Gin Clara completely lacked the flavor intensity to handle the barrel, found it too subtle and watery. Gin Soigne held its own among the ridiculous onsite list during the TB anny. Big barrel and Soigne’s tartness and body help out a lot.

I agree with this. While both are amazing beers (especially for gin lovers), I thought the base of gin clara was really overshadowed by the barrel and the flavors were very soft, while the spruce and juniper popped a lot more with the Soigne, which had a lot more going on.

Interesting to read these reviews. FWIW, I was a little disappointed by Gin Soigne. I’d hoped for more of that ginny herbaceousness. I liked it a hair better than Tequila Soigne, which I thought was all funk and unidentifiable as Soigne and Tequila barrel aged.

I thought it was really heavy on the tequila, I felt like it had a ton of spicy vanilla and toffee notes. I loved it.
