I somehow convinced my wife that an early May trip AND a FOFA trip made sense. Looking to fly her up so she doesn't have to take time off, though she probably wouldn't have been too crushed if we hadn't of won tickets

Unrelated lodging comment/question: I'm surprised more people don't make Burlington their home base. Is it because many are coming from eastern New England? Burlington is only about 25 minutes from Waterbury and is a downright awesome town. Every time I go to Hill we stay there. More to do; although admittedly it's a nostalgic place for me. I love Burlington.

We are coming from the west (relatively - Ottawa) and rotate between Burlington and Waterbury depending on what else we want to do. Given the talk about an organized bus out of Waterbury (with the need for a DD for FoFA) and that we want to do some cheese touring further south and east, Waterbury made a good choice this time around.

However based on price Waterbury is usually cheaper - hotels always seem to be stupid no matter what the time of the year, and even if you go the AirBnB option you are looking at 1.5x to 2x the price of similar lodging in comparison to Waterbury.

I love a lot of beers... and Flora Cuvee was definitely one of them.... but those would cover all the bases of what I want to drink at any given time and are probably my favorites...

Sorry about that, brain not working so well today. If anyone has room for 2 on a bus from Waterbury to/from HF for FOFA...I would love to join. I've also reached out to a few companies to see if I can set something up and open it up to other people but no availability from the people who have responded.

Today was the best visit I've ever had. Many thanks to HF for such a smoothly run operation and for making all of these amazing anniversary beers available.

Started the day with a bottle of Ann, which is a beer I never thought I'd get to try. After having had Flora a few days ago I was surprised (pleasantly so) by how subtle it is. Other highlights included Juicy B2 on draft, which was either nothing at all like the bottles I've had or my memory is awful, because it blew my mind. Damon B1 was similarly amazing -- it's a little dangerous how easy to drink that beer is. Nice guys I met in line shared some WoL SARA and I got a sample of CD 6 (on draft after Juicy kicked), too. Basically, trying any one of these beers would've made my day, nevermind the lot of them!

Holy hell was it busy today. People for days. Missed Flora but had an otherwise absolutely perfect day in the Northeast Kingdom. First and foremost, huge kudos to AutumnBeerLove and the entire HF staff today. Nonstop work and every employee had a smile on his or her face throughout the day. Reinforces my love of this place.

Soloed a Being and Time and can't say I felt bad about it. Just a beautiful beer, loved this at FoFA 2015 and thrilled to try it again. BA Everett 2014 was also a nice treat on tap. Overall a fabulous day at the brewery.

Also, the Burnt End Sandwich from Moody's slightly edged out Miso Hungry as the best brewery food I've had at HF to date.
