Clover honestly fresh I was disappointed but tonight has become perfect.
And coffee GoM may have unseated 2013 kbbs.

If GoM normally has coffee I can't remember but it's not something I associate with it. I don't believe it does. The coffee variant is just outrageously good, and excuse me while I figure out what I can part with so that I can try it again. Is there a GoM without coffee?

That is the one to which I refer....nother levelKenya Kieni
I think the CW version is also slightly different in that it's conditioned on coffee post-barrel aging, whereas other GoMs have just been brewed with coffee.GoM is always coffee to my knowledge. There was a Collected Works variant that was a single barrel variant with Kenya Kieni coffee beans aged 28 months, but aside from that, I think they've all been BA coffee stouts. All phenomenal.
RIPJuly 2015 Nordic has me like...

"Fresh," as in 18 months bottle conditioning vs having it now at 20 months. Not sure if it has "become perfect" over two additional months of conditioning or if by chance it's more reflective of previous mindset or other variables when tasting Clover the first time.
PRAISE ONLYThe bottle I opened within a week or two of release had little carb and was slightly bland with little tartness. My buddy I opened it with felt the same. We both would have preferred to drink any of the 3 beers it's made up of.
That was our opinion but what I really wanted to highlight was how good it was last night. Perfect amount of tartness, each beer in the blend complemented one another beautifully. If other variables created those experiences I'd love to recreate those more often from last night.
As some in this thread are questioning the difference in Clover to you, I find it best to send me a bottle of the Kenya GoM, so I can make sure your tastebuds were accurate. That is the one to which I refer....nother level
If I wasn't already excited to try Kenya GoM...
No but have heard great things.Stopping by the Niche in Morristown for lunch. Anyone been?
Good lawwwd. Looks like Double Barrel Damon is available this week for on-site consumption. $35 a pop.
Not exactly. Was $45 which included a donation.New batch from the look of the bottles. Same price as to-go a couple years ago ha
Not as of now.Has DB Damon been offered to CW members?
I was going to make the trip this week but a Canadian university women's cross country ski team rented my house. I suggested that I should probably still go up to check on them but my wife, uh, disagreed.
