I'm guessing there was a thoughtful reason for the initial 3/person limit, and then the drops to 2 and 1. There are a lot of variables going on here, from numbers of bottles yielded to amount of pre-release buzz on sites like this to the size of the line at 10am, etc. All this with only three previous Art releases to learn from. No doubt they're trying to balance taking care of the people now there with trying to consider people with jobs that don't allow mid-week cannonball runs.
