Wasn't impressed by the last batch. And there were some reports of infection. Not sure it's fair to judge based on the last batchHow is that compared to other BA porters/stouts? Worth trying to pick up?

I had a BA Everett about 18 months after it was released, and it had aged to perfection. I liked it fresh, but with time it mellowed and became very smooth. How is that compared to other BA porters/stouts? Worth trying to pick up?
Seconded. I thought BA Everett was a bit hot fresh but had it 3-4 months ago and it was amazing. Smooth bourbony Magic.I had a BA Everett about 18 months after it was released, and it had aged to perfection. I liked it fresh, but with time it mellowed and became very smooth.
"As I recall, Shaun was trained by Budweiser, who made the fatal mistake of sending him to Belgium to hang out with some Indy brewers." Saw this posted in the comments section of wcax story on hill farmstead winning best brewer in the world. Was he really trained by budweiser ? lol
The 'best' part of this was all the negative talk surrounding it when it first came out "too hot", "infected", "regular is better" - made picking this up in the last few months quite easy and under the radar for how good it's actually become. I'm looking forward to this release.Seconded. I thought BA Everett was a bit hot fresh but had it 3-4 months ago and it was amazing. Smooth bourbony Magic.
I had the extended aged version over a year ago and it was definitely infected. Maybe not all bottles suffered the same fate.
Did HF ever confirm any infection?
I bought mine at HF and label says 02/2014 bottled...does anyone know which batch this is?
If it's good enough for Drake it's good enough for me.That is not the extend version. Out of the 6 bottles I received, zero were infected(maybe I'm lucky). An amazing beer and I'm excited for its return.
