Definitely have seen Heather/Honey in past descriptions

Nordic tasted like a somewhat wheated Anna to me in the past. I believe the previous batches have said "heather honey," versus vermont honey. I never could tell a difference there. I'm just interested if this is a different recipe or not, I love rhubarb, and if there's actually rhubarb character in this one, that would be cool. If not, it's still a delicious beer.

Hey guys, I've got two extra FOFA tickets (plus a DD one). I don't want anyone's firstborn, just to cover the cost and hopefully to find someone to share a ride with. My buddy and I are staying at Elmore State Park in Morrisville, between W'bury/Stowe and HF. We've lined up transportation through Blazer in Stowe, who saved the day for us last year after the supposed professional that Shaun had recommended on the site flaked out on us.

So $200 for the tickets plus splitting the cost for the ride would be the ideal, meeting either at the park or somewhere in Morrisville/Stowe. If you've got your own DD that we could tag along with, that would work, too.

Message me with your plans, and we'll see if the logistics will work out.

Previous HF Nordic Saison had rose hips for sure, not sure about rhubarb, but I think it did. Haven't seen it mentioned here, but Kissmeyer is brewing the Nordic Saison at many different breweries as part of this interesting project/experiment. Anders Kissmeyer on The Nordic Saison project

that's true... he does usually give a heads up with "new iteration" or something similar...

Don't be so nosy. .

When did Soigne get bumped down to $10? Or was this part of a conversation several pages back in the thread?

  • Brother Soigné: Farmstead ale brewed with lime & blood orange. 750ml, $10

There's plenty of info on this further back in the thread, but some batches of Soigné have been 12, and some 10.

Probably 2 or 2:30. Took a little longer than I thought it would as we were driving a big van and we stopped for gas and lunch in Bradford.

you forgot all about me, didn't you!?!?

No, I was looking for you, I just didn't know what you meant by "early". For me, buying beer before 5pm is "early".

Also, I have never been there before so I had no idea what to expect. I even had my plan to get tasters of certain beers and then full pints of certain others, not realizing they don't come in pints.

Sure.

I was out there for a family reunion hosted by cousins that live in Southern VT. We are already planning the next family reunion 2 years from now to possibly be on the Jersey Shore.

But will you be in town for GABF?

/threadjack

no sir... no GABF for me this year... I have FoFA and Shelton Bros Festival coming up

those two fests need to separate a little to be able to justify two trips to New England twice in such a short span

totally speaking from a Midwest point of view ;)
