HF savants:

how much more insane is the retail store line during fofa? im trying to figure out if i can plan to make my to-go purchases that saturday or if i need to stick around until the following wed. (which is doable, but less than ideal).
hop characters and bitterness have faded.. that odd yet enjoyable "salty" taste to it is still there and is developing some very pleasant champagne like characters... a lot going on in a good way...
What Os said. Last year the line was probably 15 minutes early in the day and 45 later? Things move quickly when only bottles are available. There was a ton of staff on hand as well.

Who here going to FOFA is staying in the Waterbury/Stowe area? There is a group of 6 of us staying in Stowe that will be booking transportation in the very near future and can probably fit a few more heads in a van. Any takers?

While this image is eerily reminiscent of El Greco's "Disrobing of Christ" I was actually kinda looking for some feedbuzz on the beer inside. Hows it keepin?

Had it about a month ago with a few friends along with some other HF.

Please ignore the Dark Lord, that was a really bad idea on someones part...

Was really delicious but didn't stand out like it did at another tasting about 2-3 months ago with some other friends (ZackB, Youmakemehoppy, johnnydanger). Did a lot of the same bottles at that one, and they changed so much in a short period of time. CD10 was the favorite amongst one of the attendees out of Ann, CD11 and Art. All of us loved it as much as those other beers for sure. Lots of funk. Wish I had a mag! ;)

Had my last CD6 tonight (because Wednesday). I remember it being a lot lighter/crisper. Still great, flavor profile seemed to have shifted to be more Sankt Hans than anything.

Where'd the Sarrassin fall?

don't think we did a consensus after... Ann was clear cut my favorite... Art, CD11 and Sarrasin were probably battling next... Plum really stood out as well.

just so tough with great beers like E. and Sue there as well.. CD10 and Vera etc etc

heard there were a couple CD 14 mags out yesterday

also, for whatever it's worth, I preferred CD 10 and Art b3 over Ann and CD 11. I also much prefer Arthur and Florence to Anna though so that prob has a lot to do with it. New batch of Art is the best smelling saiszon i have ever smelled, need an Art b3 car freshener.

How is E. drinking (newest batch?)? saw I'm down to my last bottle, definitely want to let that one ride for a while

surprisingly, I found that it still tastes "fresh"... definite citrus hops up front... the yeast is developing more of the barnyard but not overpowering at all... the last batch I kept a bottle for over 2 years I think and it was completely different... yet, really awesome. Very curious to see this again in another 6 months

Why shouldn't he sell it for what he wants to? At least he made the beer, compared to some random person who just happens to show up at the right time and buys and flips. I'm guessing these sold out fairly quickly.

from what I heard there were only 2 FS yesterday. maybe more today?

He can sell what ever he wants for how ever much he wants to sell it for. With all the grumbling about the price of BA releases continuing to climb at a significant rate, to have a single bottle priced at that amount, is, just silly...Someone will purchase it, no question. There will be someone in line with the intention of purchasing a case of $10 saisons and see the mag and think Case of X OR BA Mag?

actually, if he has the beer available (like he does) at a lower price in a standard size... nobody should be complaining about magnum prices. It's obviously an item to splurge on... everyone does not have to buy one.

On a side note: OsLovesBeer in the news...(not sure if this was posted before or not):

lol

"That’s not an issue for Mike Ohgg, who accepted his invitation to the Bruery’s Hoarders Society and visits the tap room at least weekly to pick up bottles and take advantage of the 20 percent discount his member card authorizes. Ohgg, 24, works at a mortgage company and drives a BMW. He also renewed his membership at Brew Rebellion, another Southern California brewery, which costs $250 to join. When asked if he ever plans to relinquish his Hoarders status, he says, “Unless I can’t afford it.”
