I don't normally take pictures of anything, but for some reason I did take a picture of this today.

That is one of the laminated display ones - so no, they were not selling Flora Plum today, and no, my name is not John Doe. ;)
John Doe is a wise man. 12 Arthur vs 6 Anna
#priorities

Florence is my nu bae, but I'm so fickle w these trill rustics..

I honestly think my favorites are the ones I have the least of in my closet (minus Clara/Edith but), but I am in a bit of a falling out with Anna ever since trying JK BdM, realizing it might be better than Anna, then 3 way sbs w BdM and East Bank and Anna being a distant third.. I used to love her.....

I very much enjoyed my last Anna w a friend last week, I just don't feel the need to stock up..

Anyone think Lemon Cello might be interesting with some age on it, or is that just a fool's game? I didn't love the bottles (liked it better on draft, which is what prompted me to buy two of them), so I figured I'd sit on one.

so I've had 3 bottles of the 3/2015 Arthur over the last month and I'm not sure what those of you who've been raising this to "magic batch" level are drinking... it's good, standard Arthur, but nothing anywhere remotely close to how magical the 5/2014 batch was, at least fresh.

Completely agreed. Needs some time IMO

Totally agree with you.

No clue, I'd guess some of the hops will fade so the lemon Pledge flavor would decrease?

We actually age some in Bourbon barrels to make a beer called Whiskey Sour designed to taste like, you guessed it whiskey sour. We have done 2 batches with a 3rd going in barrels now and I have always enjoyed the results and think it taste pretty spot on. The hops used in Limoncello are Sorachi, Centennial, and Citra. I do not think those fading will really lessen the Lemon flavor simply due to the massive amounts of Lemon juice and lemon zest I add to the beer as well. I am well aware the beer is a hit or miss beer but for the people that it is a hit with they go insane for it.

Welcome to TB, Ryan! Looking forward to seeing you around VT soon.

I could see that Whiskey Sour working really well actually.

Question, so do Siren and HF brew their own versions then? I had it on draft in Spain and it was completely different from the bottles I got at HF. Might have just been freshness though.

Siren is the only one who brews it currently. I brewed it at Fano and then when I left Fano brewed it at Siren. The beer just varies a lot from batch to batch and we are constantly doing tweaks and changes to it. My hope is when I get to VT Shaun and I will get it dialed in to perfection.

I just opened a bottle that I had unintentionally cellared for 6 or so months. I was expecting to taste it and drainpour it, but quite honestly, I liked it better than fresh. Nice, bright lemon flavor, the pine and grassy bitterness is gone. It goes down real easy now. Too easy. YMMV, but if you don't care for it now it's worth giving it another shot with some age on it.

rwitter what exactly is the difference between Limoncello and Lemoncello?
the obvious? (lime vs lemon?)
Just label laws per country. We can not call it Limoncello in the US as that could be seen as implying that it contains limoncello the drink. There is no limes.

Whiskey Sour coming to HF anytime soon? I really wanted to try that...

I would never send a 3.6% pale hoppy beer across the pond. Also why? It is just us brewing Works of Love at our place with tiny tweaks.

because i wanna try your version and i have every HF/colab. bottle and need to keep the collection going haha send me the label and i'll stick it on a 12oz bottle =]
