I'll jump on the Dorothy bashing train as well. I think it is flat out terrible, but I'm willing to admit I just don't get the style. I liked Sue a bit more, and E. considerably more (the funkiness that developed helped). But I'll be avoiding ol Dorothy in the future. Just means more for you folks who like it!

I'm in same boat as Os. Wasn't a fan of E. at release but time is being very kind to it. Sue wasn't anywhere near as bitter at release and I can only imagine how much better it gets. Given the commentary, I may have to revisit Dorothy b1 soon since it seems the bitterness has dropped off.

On the other hand, I think all the stouts outside of DBD are mediocre at best with some being bad. Everett on the other hand is one of, if not my favorite porter.

Seems like most people assumed it was being saved for taproom only sales, although I don't think that was ever explicitly confirmed.

Yet to try the other Damons, but Port was probably my favorite HF dark beer save perhaps MC1. BG&E is one I would like another shot at. I do love the BoT however, and many hate on it, so don't trust my trifling-ass palate

I cracked one around Christmas...
I loved it! Much better than fresh for my palate. Pleasantly tart and bright, with some very very mild bittering on the finish.

I think M&C1 and BoT (not a stout) are fantastic, along with M&C2, BG&E, and Genealogy of Morals. M&C1 is such a sleeper and no one ever really seemed to talk about it much. I can get BoT and BG&E not working for people who don't like adjunct flavors in their stouts, but the others are great. DB Damon was pretty good once you stripped away the hype. Damon, which I didn't love at first, is tasting much better now, but still not up there with the others. Port Damon... not so much.

Had one around Thanksgiving and thought it was much improved from release. Really crushable. Saving my last 2 for this summer.

Yes two batches of Being in Time exist...one brewed in 2011 and one brewed in Jan 2014. Shaun has stated several times that "he was unsure of how to release this beer" so it's just been sitting in his cellar to be shared as he sees fit it seems.

Yes two batches of Being in Time exist...one brewed in 2011 and one brewed in Jan 2014. Shaun has stated several times that "he was unsure of how to release this beer" so it's just been sitting in his cellar to be shared as he sees fit it seems.

Batch 2 is still in barrels and will be until 2016 if batch 1 was any guide

Was not crazy about GoM. Wish I had gotten at MC2!

BG&E has been the best so far.
M&C1&2 were good.
Damon is good.
BA Everett was pretty dang good.
BoT - love it.
B1 GoM was meh-tastic. B2/extended aged B2 was much much better.

I was thinking more of a $20 raffle ticket, winners must show up at the brewery in the middle of a randomly chosen night in April. Upon arrival, you must answer three riddles, each posed by a different member of the HF crew. Then and only then do you get to challenge Shaun to a game of chess. If you win, you can buy a bottle. 1/pp $60.

- Port Damon is divisive
- Take the rest, randomly shuffle the order and post it 14 different times
- NO GUYS THAT'S TECHNICALLY A PORTER
