RateBeer just gave them #1 Brewer in the World for 2014. Now they are going to get super popular and there are gonna be lines and ugh....can't have anything to myself anymore.

In 2013, the list separated HF and Grassroots, and HF ended up as #2. Had they been collapsed together, as they finally were this year, I would think 2013 would have been a #1 position, too. But I don't RateBeer, so I might be wrong.

The 8/2104 bottling of Convivial is really nice right now. It was a hibiscus Bomb early on but that has died down and its a very well integrated beer right now.

Agreed. Cracked one during the AFC Championship game and it was on point. Made me wish I had more than one left.

so, in light of all the Dorothy hate lately I popped a Sue with Chouffe and we were both floored. Absolutely loved it, ISO moar. Ranked the best up against DDG (2013) and Farm to Face. Sue>E.> Dot.

I do recall that now what you mention it. It's hard to keep track of all the butthurt in the world sometimes so I might be wrong too.

Yeah I think his tweets were in reference to some of his friends losing out at GABF, not him. Could be totally wrong though. And in 2013 HF came in 2nd or 3rd on the Ratebeer list, so I don't think there was much butthurt there, but again I don't pay much attention to the non beer brewing or bottle release tweets.

It was the World Beer Cup, and he sent out a tweet complaining about the results (not that he didn't win, but he didn't agree with what actually did). Apparently he was so mad about it he announced he was going to contact the Brewers Association and ask for their membership fees back (even tagged the BA in the tweet, to which they responded with something like "we're confused, but okay"). Presumably he calmed down a bit and realized he was overreacting because all the tweets got deleted shortly after.

I had a dream/nightmare last night that I was at Hill Farmstead, but none of the usual beers were available and instead there was all kinds of weird adjunct-y #newmoney **** like a chocolate cherry stout and other crap. Also they were not doing flights so you had to buy your bottles and growler fills without having any idea what the beers were like. I kept asking questions about the beers and the staff were getting annoyed that I was holding up the line. Also I forgot my growlers in the car and wanted to go back for them without having to go to the back of the line. I think that's where I woke up.

Not really sure what to make of that.
