Interesting choice...
Hopefully they don't allow mules, otherwise it will be literally like winning the lottery. I'm assuming you'll have to pay up front, if you win they'll match your name with an ID, and you'll have a certain time frame to pick it up. Probably the best decision instead of having people rush up if there happens to be a blizzard or something when they release it.

I like the note on the SARA/TH collab.
They should do a contest to name it, whoever can come up with the best philosophical name wins the automatic right to buy a bottle of Ann.

I'm fairly certain they wouldn't allow mules. That would be great, otherwise it's gonna be like the BA Abraxas release again where people sign up their grandmothers and dogs for chances at a bottle.

There still will probably be people who try to do that

They've been collecting customer info long enough that they could just pick Ann lottery winners from people already in the system. At least it would mean that folks have been up there at least once.

that's a pretty cool idea... except that many of the people in the system may not want Ann

Name one! It's not that hard to allow anyone picked to decline. Of course this is just idle speculation between two guys already in the system, I'm sure there are a lot of people who would have strenuous objections to this method.

either way, the people that want in the lottery that get lucky will make it up there. whether it's their first time or not. wonder what the bottle count is

I've been there a few times. They have no record of me though. I paid cash every time I have been there.

Yeah I think they started doing names like what, last December? November?

Well July 27 they started accepting credit cards. So the name thing started a couple weeks before that while they got the credit card portion up and running. It's all the same system so an 8 month span between each doesn't seem right.

Ok well I think its irrelevant when they started taking names. They aren't going to use this list for any type of lottery.

I suspect it will be very hard to win a bottle of Ann because everyone that has heard of HF will enter the Lottery.

either that or it will require an Essay.

Also Ann:
  • Ann (Release will be lottery style, ticketed. Not a shelf released item. Details forthcoming. Largely due in part to unpredictable size/nature of parking and traffic in winter months)...

I'm hoping between Wednesday and Thursday some of the taps kick and one or more of the S&S beers goes on. Don't get me wrong I'll never complain about getting a bunch of fills of Abner and Everett but it would be cool to get some new things.

Not that it really means anything, cause things could change, but Shaun said on twitter a while back S&S 6 would be on on the 17th.
