Brack, if you come up, let me know. Would be nice to meet. Regarding bottles, there's no real rhyme or reason. HFS holds back kegs for the events obviously but as for what's on sale it really depends on what's bottled and ready. Last year, it was Arthur.

I'll hit you up if I make it up that way, debating on whether or not to go for the anniversary party or go the week before. The 24th is memorial day weekend and the wife may not be too happy with me planning a beer-cation on a holiday weekend.

Crazy to see that Abner has now joined the ranks of the 750ml only fills.
Seconded. I'm not a fan of the 750-ml fill policy at all. I made a habit, especially during warmer weather, to get a couple 2L fills to bring to friends, BBQs, etc. It was nice to be able to do that not only for the lower ABV beers but with Abner, SS beers, etc. Especially now with the 3-growler limit, this is tough. Hoping that once phase 2 construction is done they open the limits up a bit...and get like 3x as many taps to fill from!

Will be interesting. Not like the influx of humanity flooding to HF will decrease anytime soon...especially when construction is completely done and the new space opens.

Is the 750ml only limit to these DIPAs in part because of their popularity so they want to limit how much each person can walk away with, or more so because the batch sizes are smaller (and so they'd also want to limit how much each person can walk away with)?

I personally wasn't too happy with the '3 container regardless of size' rule because a 2L (or larger) growler takes twice as long to fill as a 750ml at minimum. So when you get a group in front of you with only 2L growlers it gets less pleasant

The 750-only rules are about making them last, not smaller batches. I was there the day Double Citra dropped in October, and everyone was getting 3 growlers of it. It might have been gone that day without the policy in place.

This is the first time I've seen "cellar rarities" be put on the shelf 3 days in a row. With my job, it's impossible to be at HFS at 12-sharp on week days but this is a nice treat for anyone that happened to bring enough cash :)

Silly Adam. I wouldnt even fill growlers if it meant getting those two bottles.

I guess that's a very valid point.

This has me wondering if I left the house right now, I'd be at the hill at 3. they'd probably be gone by then though and that's alright. I've had both of these and they're great and it's nice that a random visitor can grab two fantastic beers as well as what's on tap. This is easily making a few people's weekends a whole lot better!

Which CD is that? 7? We all know how I feel about that one....

It feels like every since like October there's been a new bottle on the shelves every single week and with CD8 and Daybreak and Sarassin It looks like that trend is going to continue.

Their bottling line isn't a huge thing yet they just keep putting them out. Just thinking the last 2 months

Arthur
Anna
Florence
Port Damon
GoM
Birth of Tragedy
Earl
Everett ?
Twilight
Elaborative 2
Convivial
CD7

next we have daybreak, civil dis and sarassin (all TBD but they're coming soon right?) Oh and Elaborative 3, Madness 3

There have been so many darn releases lately. Kudos for them putting out so much beer at once.

The amount of bottles they're cranking out lately is astounding. Well done by them. Heard a new bottling line is coming within a couple months...that should make it even easier to do this kind of thing. The current bottling system, from what I've been told, is a tremendous pain in the ass and is very labor intensive. I'm sure they can't wait for the new one!

Also, ELABORATIVE 3 AND MADNESS 3??!!! TELL ME MOAR.

I thought it was on Twitter a while back. I honestly don't know anything just that I saw some tweet replies a few weeks ago about it. that's literally all I know.

as with every beer that's not listed on the site / Facebook, speculation is usually a bad idea. I'm impressed with how many CD / Elab / Madness beers have come out so far. Hoping that timing of releases continues.

I got CD7 and Norma yesterday at 230, so you don't necessarily have to be there right at noon!
Also, Phil told me the reason abner is only 750 is because all the stuff they brewed in the last couple weeks is destined for barrels and they are worried about being a tap or 2 down.

I've got to mention the improvement noticed on some of the latest releases. I remember having Sankt Hans last spring/year? and not understanding what the big deal was. Fast forward to the latest release this past fall and boom, soo good. Also, can say the same about Florence. I remember having it at pro-pig last spring-ish and not being impressed. Went up yesterday and only grabbed a couple of bottles thinking I'll just trade the second one away if it was the same. Cracked that lady open and she's head and shoulders beyond what she used to be. **** this is good. I'm not sure the adjustments Shaun has been making but he's got his **** dialed in. This beer is great. Can't wait to try Suarez. Woot!

They just raised the speed limit to 70 on I93 through NH, so i actually live almost exactly 3 hours away!

Awesome. No more winter excuses whenever locals can drive 70mph+ on icy/snow roads ;)

Honestly, that would be awesome for the occasional trip up there. HF is growing faster than I would have thought.

70 just means i can go 80 now without too much hassle from the fuzz.

I make the trip 2-3 times a month, but i get free (ish) gas from work. The drive is actually relaxing when it's not snowing/freezing rain.
