Great. Wanna bet the bottles on the upcoming Rutgers/Michigan game? I’ll put up some 120 minute that I’ve been aging.

Awesome day yesterday, brought my girlfriend for her first time, first real Vermont trip for her too. She claims she had a great time but I'm still skeptical. Met up with Debokle and a couple other friends. Gorgeous day - cold but crystal clear skies. The quietest I've been on a Friday at HF in quite some time. Shared the following - Flora Blackberry, Poetica 3, CD11, and Damon 2016. My personal favorite was Damon 2016, but all were fantastic. CD11 has developed extremely well and is drinking great. As much as I loved Poetica 3, it wasn't quite as nuanced as I found 1 and 2. Flora Blackberry was very well balanced - would love to have a bottle of that again. Just a perfect day at HF - hung out for a few hours with great friends and nowhere to be.

Side note - Stagecoach breakfast was on point per usual this morning.

What I think is b1 Art - the gold cap is the telltale sign, I’m told. The bugs have taken over. The nose is typical Art, bright and citrus but those flavors are muted, overshadowed by some notes of funk, soap, straw, maybe some oxidation. Past its prime compared to b3 and later but still fun to try.

Sounds like the b2 I had last year. Complete brett bomb

Drinking a Feb 2017 Earl. Not getting much coffee but lots of delicious bakers chocolate and some cherry as well.

Amen to that! Stop with the variants and give up regula o’ a$$ Flora.
Totally agree. I’ve always wondered if they may fruit the Flora that just isn’t quite good enough to be regular a$$ Flora. That said it’s been far too long (over 2 years?) since regular Flora has made an appearance and its increasingly more difficult to get my hands on more B7 haha.

What's the oldest "shelfie" you've consumed? I've got an October 2013 Arthur in the fridge and for whatever reason I can't bring myself to open it. At this point it's probably so far gone that maybe I ought to just save it until I'm bored with this hobby and forget about it forever.

Had a 13 like 6 mos ago maybe? Was fantastic. I would imagine there is a lot of variation with bottles though.

Had a ‘13 Arthur a month ago and it was excellent - better than when fresh in my opinion. Have also had various vintage shelf bottles on site and they have always been fantastic. Soon is probably a good time to drink it.

Poor guy just started driving away minutes before Poetica 1 was tapped. Hate to see that.

Recently had some Arthur 2014’s that we’re still superb

Have a smattering of 2013 bottles in my basement (Prolog, Port Damon, Edith) that I really need to drink

screw the Art, gimme some of that Jamón

Once you open it you don't have any anymore? That's not how I operate, but I know folks like that.

Agreed, beer loses all its value once you open it.

Seriously though, so much beer in the basement, sometimes you just don’t get around to it. Had a Le Sarrasin recently and it was amazing. HF is still early enough in its arc that some of these beers could hold up beautifully for 8-10 years+
