yeah i can understand that.. bellwoods isn't a farmhouse spot.

Do you know if any of the outskirt areas get and Auval... Magog/Sherbrooke ish? When i come to visit i'm on Lac Massawippi so trudging to Montreal doesn't happen often but would love to try some Auval
Retail no, never... Maybe if you are super lucky there might be an event in Sherbrooke at bar where they might have a keg. I have seen that happen a couple times but you would need to follow those places on facebook to be in the know

yeah that's basically what i've heard before too.. follow facebook spots and drops and then hope for the best.... seems easier to try to line up some IP trades when i'm up there and bring in some US stuff that somebody with some Auval may want. Thanks

Also over the warmer months Auval distro is limited to their area and they stop sending beer to Montreal

I’d love to see a dedicated lager table this year. Somewhere near the music so I don’t have to feel like a ******* idiot again. Maybe even a special lagers-and-music-only ticket, which comes with a 1L mug instead of the stemware.

Started as a joke, but seriously... that sounds awesome now that I wrote it down.

You don't even ask my opinion on this. In.

After 2 PM last year all I drank was Marie. And it was glorious.

Lager is Love.

I was very happy with the full pours :)

As the sun came out full pours of Marie were had. Is it August yet?

Does HF typically update their site as stuff sells out? Debating doing a cannon ball run tomorrow and would be awesome to grab some of the LoGs and Flora Pear.

They do, if you are there when they open tomorrow you will get what you seek

Definitely hoping the weather scares people off, I'm not heading up until Saturday afternoon.

Edit: if anyone wants to share a bottle or two late Saturday afternoon, hit me up. I'll be there after skiing.

Speaking of Art-themed license plates, all this time I thought Sebastian Gorka was a lunatic, but it turns out he's just a fan of contentious beer trades:

Things I learned: tikk is friends with Seb Gorka.
My **** lord buddy is dying right now. He presold an Art and a GoM, below current secondary. Spent that money booking a nice hotel in Stowe. Turns out his mule that he brings to HF had an expired id. They spent the early part of the day at the DMV in Burlington, by the time they left there Art was down to 1pp and GoM was sold out. So he got 2 Art and a bunch of shelf stuff and is pissed. He has to refund the money for the GoM, and is calling the trip a waste. He got 2 Art and some amazing fills. Never go full **** lord.

So I take it that the one part of Hill Farmstead's website that's not updated is what's really available onsite? (Not that it matters; I'm visiting in early April and gonna enjoy the hell out of it.)

Random bottles are offered up or put out whenever the staff feels like it over the course of any given day so a more accurate statement would be that the site doesn't list everything that may or may not be available.

I hope they have the crowler machine up and running for that golden blend.

The beginning of that email:

For security reasons, and to streamline the flow of visitors during the event, the time allowed to remain on the premises will be limited to four hours. Cantillon´s bar will be transferred to that of our friends, Brasserie de l'Ermitage, which is just around the corner from us. So if you like, you'll be able to continue the party there. Below is a provisional list of pre-selected beers which will be available for tasting as part of the pairings. The complete list for both breweries will be released following the advancement of the fermentations and the evolution of the beers.

An amazing trip up today... but the best part might have been pre-ordering 12 meat pies...all chicken curry... Stephanie from Pie Empire is incredible!
