This might be a dumb question, but I've become a bit of a coffee snob over the last year. Not a good thing wallet wise when coupled with my beer addiction. Anyway, does anyone know if Earl always uses the same coffee and/or blend of coffees? I recall a batch in bottles a year or two ago that noted a specific coffee from Coffee Collective (I think), but otherwise, I just go off of the description which notes a Guatemalan blend.

I'm drinking a growler now and the coffee flavor is just so balanced and superb, as it was in the cask last Friday. Love how it interacts with the base stout and that signature smooth fluffy mouthfeel. Would love to buy and roast the beans used in the beer on their own. Might just be a question for the brewers themselves but figured I'd post here first...
I believe multiple roasters have been used over the years, with no word really on specific blends. At the very least I know Barista's Blends, Carrier, and George Howell have all been referenced publicly. I hadn't heard of Coffee Collective being used in Earl in the past, but someone added an entry on BA indicating that their Finca Alasitas was in the most recent batch (or at least the cask).

Ah, the bottle I was thinking of was a Carrier blend. Thanks for the info!

The Finca Alasitas on cask is 12x (or 10x) the coffee as regular Earl. Insane

Linking to your tick on BA...

I completely support your review of the beer though. I want my morning coffee to taste like that hand pump pour.

Pretty certain I have a few.

Why did I think this was a specific Florence ISO? I know I have some 7/2017 shelfies, but not so sure I have the 14th specifically. I'll look either way next time I'm home, probably tomorrow night.

Woooord. Thank you!

I remember there used to be a unscientific listing/ranking of favorites in the CD series. I have never had any and got the chance to trade for a few off site. Can someone help a brother out and provide opinions on some of the more recent releases?

Which ones do you have access to?
