chance to win some pretty stellar magnum bottles from Hill Farmstead and our guest brewers.
I'm curious, what has been raffled off in previous years?

Also, for anyone who's purchased one, or might otherwise know, how much have HF's core saison magnums sold for at retail?

4x retail seems to be the rule of thumb- paid 40 each for Anna, Arthur, Florence, 48 or 50 each for Convival and Soigné when they used to run a small premium ($12/750).

Side Project Balaton, Ann, Flora magnums have all been raffled in the past, among others.

wouldn't that be 2x? since it's 2 bottles worth to begin with?

Tickets are $5 each. You buy as many tickets as you want (hopefully, that's a large number of tickets), and then place your tickets in the lot(s) you wish to win. There's one big drawing at the end when all the lots are drawn. For new folks, it is tradition to boo Os if he wins.

I've heard people in the past saying it's not worth entering the raffle because "only big rollers who buy 100 tickets will win." This isn't right at all. First, people should enter because it's for the children of Greensboro. Second, there have been many winners in the past several years who have bought 4, 10, or yes, 20 tickets.

TL; DR: bring a lot of cash.
This is so dumb. The "worth" is exactly the same.

More chances = More expense so the expected value for an entry is always the same. How do people not understand this...

Keep in mind you are likely talking about people who don't understand independence of events and look at the previous 25 megaball drawings to decide which number they should play. Thinking they will understand expected value is giving them far too much credit.

kep, do you know if the Barton bus driver has arranged dropoff? I'm assuming the 2 buses mentioned are the ones from Waterbury via raqnroll ?
I don't completely understand what's written there so if anyone else does, tell me what I need to do.

As it stands, Barton school bus is contracted to stay on site.

Edit: I think we're good. Our bus is going to park in the field during the event and we'll get inspected there.

What's there to do in BTV on a Wednesday at 11:30pm?
A late-night spot for college kids in Burlington is Manhattan Pizza. They will have Hill drafts on among other things if you can stand the scene. Wednesday might be a decent time to be there.
