Unless you are a CW member, that would be a poor choice of days to go and if you were in fact a CW member, you could just buy that **** online and not have to hope you make it in time, like the rest of us pleebs.

I'm assuming Joe would drive up Tuesday night in order to be there Wednesday... but what do I know

And...

It wasn't supposed to be flat, and HF has denied there's an issue with it. It's OK to admit they made a mistake.

I must have missed them denying anything. Where'd you see this?

I'm not aware of being able to buy shelfies yet as a CW member... maybe I should message to inquire bc I'd love some Twilight and Convivial

I thought there was a really old reply on Twitter by Shaun or here by Ryan. But I might be confused. Did they offer refunds?

I don't know that they did offer refunds but the best bet would be to email them for any information. I just don't think they would deny issues with all the reports of bottle variation.

A couple of direct queries on Twitter to no reply:

And this was the post from AutumnBeerLove I was thinking of:

yeah, again, seems like just no answer given but not a denial. Not to mention, a QC pour is done early but they must have done more research after the reports. I would email them though if you wanted more info. They don't post everything online.
Just wouldn't jump to conclusions that they are hiding/denying anything.

Sure. Fine.

I was more confused by everyone jumping in to say "Who cares if it's carbed? It's delicious!"

On another note, how have Saturdays been lately as far as turning up early to be near the front of the line? Is getting there at like 11 tomorrow likely to mean a long wait for growler fills or bottles? I'd rather not have to get there even earlier than that but I also can't wait too long tomorrow.

FWIW, b1 Sankt aged like a ******* champ. If you still have b2 Sankt, I'd tuck it away for another year or two and see what happens.

ah yeah, it certainly was meant to be carbed as per the posts... I don't mind it flat though, even if by mistake. Sometimes I prefer less carb in some beers... I feel like I can pickup on more subtleties

Yes. Os is correct. Tuesday travel. Wednesday beer. I am a Samaritan and, thus, not one of the chosen people.

the 6 bottles of SH B2 I've opened so far have all been flat. tasted fine, but definitely one of the least favorite releases I've had from HF.

B1 was great IMO
For what its worth, fairly confident the flat batch was not B2.. It was 3 or 4 iirc.. Can confirm for certain next time I head to my cellar

A blend of Everett, Birth of Tragedy and Genealogy of Morals aged in Bourbon and Rye Whiskey barrels for more than 20 months, then further conditioned upon select vanilla beans prior to bottle conditioning.

Damn, see you at opening on Wednesday.
