Somebody made a list of which large format bottles exist, right? Was that in my imagination? If it does exist can I get a link to that, please.

We also should be due for a new batch of Anna soon. Don't think there has been any since the 9/15 batch which was magical. I refuse to drink my last one until i can get some more

if its been bottled in the past ~2 years, it probably exists in large format.

Is there a list of bottle counts anywhere? I'm looking for a wedding gift for a friend but don't want to go crazy. I would like Flora but I think I remember those being ~100-120 and the lower tier (was it Anna?) ~$40? Assuming people don't want to let them go so secondary will boost pretty aggressively.

You may be thinking of Flora Cuvee and Ann.

Yeah Flora was 120, Vera 100. Anna/Arthur are 40 and shouldn't be too hard to obtain, maybe?

Does anyone happen to know if Everett is the base beer for Twillight of the Idols?

My understanding is it's a different porter than Everett, but I'm sure someone else would be able to answer more authoritatively. I've not had them side-by-side, but they strike me as fairly different. The ABV is almost a full point lower on Twilight, and I don't feel like it has as much body (the OG/FG numbers on Everett that I've seen posted are fairly unique). Also a Columbus-hopped porter seems like it would be a strange vehicle to use for coffee, cinnamon, and vanilla additions. You'd think something with a more subtle hop would be preferable.

But watch me be completely full of ****...

Good info. I guess I wrongly remembered them as the same ABV

No actually I think I was wrong, so maybe I am totally full of **** after all. I could have sworn that Everett was 8% ABV but looking online now at some labels I see 7.2% on at least one of them.

Guess I really need to dome bottles of both side-by-side sometime, for science of course.

Didn't realize they hopped Everett with Columbus. This does nothing to dispel my love of that oft overlooked/surprisingly versatile hop. From Pliny to Trillium to, apparently, Everett, where it pops up, I tend to be a happy camper.

From the Hill Farmstead website (which I probably should have checked first before opining on the ABV):

"Ingredients: Pale, Caramel, and Chocolate Malt; Roasted Barley; Columbus hops; Ale Yeast; and our Well Water.

7.5% abv"

Quite a while back, Beerontwowheels shared a recipe from BOY magazine for an Everett clone which he and I both brewed (I'm guessing his version turned out a lot better than mine ;) ). The hops were entirely Columbus hops.

I should try that one again sometime...

Was anyone else really impressed by the mouth feel on Society & Solitude 3? Even by HF's usual high standards it was amazingly soft, silky, and creamy. It was also a great expression of what Columbus hops can do besides just crank up the bitterness, which seems to be how a lot of brewers use them. A really nice beer.

Welp, supplier done make me jet out to Montreal again. ;)
Hoping I can slide down to HF next Friday for opening.

Remind me, as things do change, if I'm not there early (11ish) its best to be there later on, right?
What is the average line time with the new digs?

Another option is to drive out Thursday afternoon and move some business to Friday.
Even more specifically, if I show up for growlers/bottles around 4pm I should be fine, right?

I dunno, I believe Earl is all Columbus hops and the same goes for Trillium's dark coffee beers as well.

That being said I always got the impression that the recipe for Twilight was different from Everett and may have predated it with the reference to it being conceived in 2009. I always kind of suspected Fanø Julebryg was Twilight's predecessor since I believe it debuted while Shaun and Ryan were working there and similarly has the coffee, vanilla, and cinnamon additions, though I've never tried it to compare.

Last few Fridays I went up were fine, arrived around 11 or 12 (they opened early for us) longest I waited for bottles was 10 min and 20 min for growlers. Might depend on what is released.

I have a question that i think I could only get a straight answer from people in this forum... Anyone had b1 Ann recently, and is it worth seeking out? Would like to find an unbiased opinion if possible :/ I know, HTF these days
