the fact that 6 hours is less than 16 hours does not make it close... the fact that you may have at a point done 4 hours rd trip due to traffic in a work day does not make 6 hours one way close...

we're talking over 12 hours in a day for a round trip which for most means an overnight stay... that is not close

sure you would think that and traffic delays are not a one time deal.... It's a ****** occurrence in a metro area of 9mil + people. but for me who loves to drive on trips a 6 hr drive with the addition of knowing Parker Pie, Waterbury stops, 3 Penny would make a Sat to Sunday trip easy for me and would do it in a flash on a regular basis... to each there own... (esp. since you mentioned no wife, no kids)

what makes it not close for you is actually close for others, Many guys in this thread and on TB can't get to HF often at all for being "not close" and would envy a 6 hr drive IMO. All though one night stay is ideal for that amount of driving it would be require for me, like I said to each there own...

Lol, 400 miles isn't close for anyone.

I drove to Hardwick yesterday and didn't even go to HF, extra 10 miles was too far.

envying a 6 hour drive because it is shorter than yours still doesn't make it a short drive by any means. to spend 50% of a day driving is in no way an "easy trip", and I don't see how you can consider it that way just because your trip is significantly longer.
