I recently made a 6 gal. batch of hard iced tea using this recipe, https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f79/hard-iced-tea-71079/. I wasn't able to get the exact type of tea that the recipe called for, but im quite sure they both use hfcs as the sweetener.
I was halfway through making it when i realized all of this so i just continued to make it. The ferment did not seem to be taking off to quickly, so i did some searching on hfcs to see what people had to say. It seemed like mixed reviews. Some said it will take a very long time or wont ferment at all. Others said it will give off flavours. Does anyone know for sure if this is ok or should i scrap the brew and go get some better tea to start with?
