new to this forum and have never made my own beer. looking to get into it. Would love to make St. Arnold's christmas ale. It's my all time favorite ale.

I enjoy the following:
Belhaven Wee Heavy
St. Arnold's Christmas
St. Arnold's Octoberfest
Killian's irish red
Spaten Optimator
St. Arnold's Fancy Lawnmower

basically any ale's or lagers with eccentric taste to them. In other words I wont touch pilsners period and I cant stand shiner bock or guinness.

Welcome to HBT Dsparil! :mug:
You are going to start out brewing ales. Lager brewing requires temperature control usually with a refrigerator set up with a special controller. Ales are a great way for you to get experience brewing. For your first beer go with something easy and as you gain experience you can try more advanced brewing. I bet if you look long enough you will find a clone for St. Arnold's Christmas ale.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Howdy & welcome. There's lots to learn here. I recommend you start with a simple beer first as you build your skill before going to a specialty beer.
