Welcome Kendo2gz,

I'm new myself - I just finished getting all my stuff (Thanks, Santa!) and my first brew day is 1/1/09.

Welcome :)

As far as advice goes, I have brewed only 3 batches (so take my advice considering that). My first 2 lessons were as follows:

1. Don't get too worked up in the small details for your first batch (or 3 :cross:). Understand the basic concepts and you will do fine. Save the fine tuning, small details for once you become comfortable with the brewing process.

2. RDWHAHB - Relax, Don't Worry, Have A Home Brew (or alternatively, a regular beer). That is invaluable. 90% of the time, it will all work out.

Hey Kendo!
Welcome. You've stumbled into a good place. You'll find answers to just about all your questions here, and if you don't find 'em just ask in one of the forums. Folks are really great and quick to get back to you.

Where abouts in Oregon are you?
