I'm a beer freak and have been for many years. I love beer. I've been looking into taking the brewing courses through Siebel's Institute and figure that if I want to get into the micro industry, I should start off doing my own home brews. The greatest thing is that my wife is going to take the classes with me and we're going to go into the whole thing together. I brewed my first batch about 20 years ago, a cranberry lambic, and it was very tasty, but was done very unconventionally.

I'm really looking forward to anything and everything I can learn on here about the nuances of home brewing.

There are a lot of area people on here! I went to Hop To It or whatever it's called yesterday and it was pretty cool but no one was there to answer questions or anything! I was there for 1/2 hour looking around and reading things and never saw another person.

The couple of times I went in their they are pretty laid back. Usually they are in the front office. When I did ask a question, they where really helpful.
