I need help. I started my first batch of beer last Friday night ( 8 days ago). A batch of Porter. It started fermenting by Sat morning and I was gettiing lots of bubbles through the ferment lock. By Sunday morning it had stopped. My starting SG reading was 1.040 and the instuctions say int FG reading should be 1.010-1.012. I have been at 1.020 since Sunday/Monday and don't see any more bubbles. I contacted the place I bought it from and they said don't worry. I am worried. Do I have a stuck fermention? What next?

What is the current temp of the brew? You might have to "twist" ( not shake ) the fermentor a bit to get your yeast back into suspension.
