hi guys .. i am brewing a belguim dark ale all was going well until this morning i found all the blue lining of the inside of the carboy was floating around in the beer. is there any way of saving this beer..has this happened to anyone else? thanks for looking..

blue lining?

Is this a PET carboy or glass? How far along into the ferment is it?

Is it just floating on top or mixed in? Can you rack from underneath it? Maybe put nylon hop sock over the end of the racking cane to catch any bits?

We might need a picture to see what you're talking about. I have no idea what kind of blue lining would be in either a glass or PET carboy.

As long as your beer is still contained in the liner, you should be okay. Turbulence caused by the yeast just caused it to float around. When fermentation slows, and the sediments starts dropping out, the liner should stabilize.

it has been fermenting for 2 days its not a pet carboy just something i picked up at home pro.the bits are floating around inside . its like its stripped the lining off the bottom of the carboy the top part where there is no beer is still blue

Was this designed for brewing or for holding water?
edit: Google can't translate the entire web site. Can't do a product search.

Cheers guys. All is ok . Opened her up an checked it turned out it was just the light reflection from the fridge door.

whew... I didn't think those PET containers were lined with anything. Glad to hear it was just reflection.

You should double check that it's OK for brewing. I think most plastic water jugs are food safe PET or HDPE these days, but better safe than sorry.
