Good morning all!

On my second home brew and having an issue. First brew was Brewferm Framboise which worked out really well - now I may be hooked on this hobby.

This brew is a Coopers Canadian Blonde. I added about 1.5 lbs. of honey to the extract for additional flavor and my OG was 1.053. Oh, I used Safale 05 yeast.

The SG has been steadily decreasing over the last 8 days however it has seemed to stall out at 1.026. Too high for my liking.

Any thoughts? I can use all the suggestions I can get.

Rouse the yeast??? I did gently swirl the carboy last night (very gently) for 10 seconds but it seemed to have no effect when I measured the SG this morning.

Are you saying that its been in the fermenter for 8 days? If so, don't even begin to panic yet - let it go for at least another week before you take another hydrometer reading.
