Without a wiring diagram of your controller we can't tell from this. Usually in a power cord black is hot, white is common, and green is ground if that helps

I would for sure move that ground wire up so not so much bare wire is showing. Its awful close to those hot legs

I agree that ground could cause a problem. Good Luck. Let me know how the system works. I'm also looking into a hosehead.

It's a good start.

Your termination is correct, however the cable cover needs to be further into the plug so it gets gripped by the plug housing.

I would start over by laying the cord in the plug and cut each wire to the top of the terminal. Strip and reconnect each conductor.

Everything should be flat and straight.

Did you get the blade terminals back in the plug correctly?
Seems the screw heads would have better clearance if they were flipped making more room for the ground wire.

One other thing it to recheck the screw tightness after a few uses.

Honestly if it was me I'd get rid of those metal bits and put a properly clamped ring terminal on those wires and screw down on that. Ever if you keep the metal bits I wouldn't just use bare wire like that.

Thank you all! I took everyone's advice. I got proper rings and crimped them then heat shrink. They look almost professional now. Turned it on fired it up and it works great!
