In the past few months I've started brewing beer. I've run into the problem many seem to have with maintaining proper fermentation temps. So i started to build one.

Which brings to my question. I've torn apart a mini fridge for the compressor. It will be plugged into a stc 1000 project box. My question is about the ground wire.

There not really a ground wire coming out or the compressor. The green wire on the left of the pic is just connected to the plate of the compressor to the larger bottom plate.

Is it ok to attach to that? Would that be sufficient? It was connected to a ground coming from the original thermostat.

Any help would be appreciated.

The green wire connected to the plate should be your ground wire. Don't want to commit to that without seeing everything up close, but that should be it.

Thanks. I went and connected my ground to that. Plugged in and nothing blew up. So far so good. Thank you for the reply!
